About the Speaker

Karrie Andes has worked in Human Resources for over 17 years. Her experience includes heavy industry, manufacturing, and safety consulting. She's held positions with Deffenbaugh Industries, Inc. &Affiliates (refuse), International Paper (corrugated carton), and ImpactHealth (safety and NIOSH). Karrie currently consults for The Center for Health Value Innovation as well as various Kansas City employers, and recently penned her own column in Employee Benefit News titled "View From The Andes." She is a frequent speaker on self-insurance and healthcare, and the recipient of the 2006 Benny Awards for Healthcare Plan Leadership.
