Hot Trends in the American Employment Acronyms
American employment law continues to develop and flourish in its protective aspects, favoring individuals and lawyers who represent individuals. This trend, which began 25 years or so ago, is evermore robust today as we see developments in the ADA, EEOC, EFCA, FLSA, FMLA, GINA, and MHRA, as well as class actions. These developments evidence a growing understanding and concern for individual employees who are increasingly part of a global economy with American roots.
This presentation will review these trends and provide practical, effective techniques for diminishing litigation risks and ever-effectively serving the legitimate business needs of American enterprise. It will include a look not only at the changing laws but also at how the email and electronic age we live in continues to change the landscape of discovery and litigation.
